Which seems like a colossal mass but we’ve calculated that from the iron in the earth, you could make just over 2 billion Death Stars.

HAN SHOOTS FIRST
Sorry George but Han shooting first made him the coolest character for my younger self - in fact still makes him a cool character not a cold-blooded killer
From Hollywood Reporter
“It’s a movie, just a movie. The controversy over who shot first, Greedo or Han Solo, in Episode IV, what I did was try to clean up the confusion, but obviously it upset people because they wanted Solo to be a cold-blooded killer, but he actually isn’t. It had been done in all close-ups and it was confusing about who did what to whom. I put a little wider shot in there that made it clear that Greedo is the one who shot first, but everyone wanted to think that Han shot first, because they wanted to think that he actually just gunned him down.”Ht: Bleeders

WHO WILL WATCH THE WATCHMEN
Ok we've had the film and now the prequels, Before Watchmen
I must admit I am intrigued and the line-up of creators are pretty good but is there anything more to really add to the original?

SCI-FI HIT PARADE
So SFX has done a top 50 of Sci-Fi theme tunes:
10 to four are:
Blade Runner
Back to the Future
2001 Space Odyssey
Pirates of the Caribbean
Jurassic Park
Harry Potter
Superman
(in my best fluff voice)
Coming in at number three
And at number two and a bit of a shock for pop pickers of a certain age
And steaming in at number one and proof that Tolkien fans have more time to access the computer, at the top of the hit parade is…
To be honest I am shocked that Star Wars wasn't number one and that Superman missed the top three

Doctor Who trailer from SDCC:
and a clip (warning clown!)
Indded:

Ahhh…

An anti-smoking message from Star Wars (?)
And no drinking - despite Han Solo was obviously over the limit going from the Cantina to the Millennium Falcon:
So I have been a huge fan of Judge Dredd for a long time and now, there's a new movie coming out, filmed in South Africa and starring Karl Urban and now, courtesy of scans of Empire magazine, more pics are out:
Urban as Dredd

CALL OF STAR WARS
As you may realise I am a big fan of Star Wars and I absolutely loved Battlefront(s) 1&2.
In addition I really love Medal of Honour and Call of Duty.

Hmm, think my kid's getting there:

A cute tribute to Rocketeer on the 20th anniversary of the film and, of course, the late lamented Dave Stevens:
