May I take this opportunity to express great sadness at the passing of the former Education Minister, Conservative Vice-Chairman and MP for Mitcham and Morden from 1982 - 1997 Dame Angela Rumbold who has died aged 77. A TRUE THATCHERITE CONSERVATIVE not a CON-DEM CONSERVATIVE, she was one of the leading politicians of her generation who worked tirelessly to improve the quality and standard of education of our children. A GREAT CONSERVATIVE - we mourn her passing. JOS
